Redirack gains SAFEcontractor accreditation

The National Britannia Group, which provides risk management services, has granted Redirack SAFEcontractor membership. SAFEcontractor is a scheme that assesses the health and safety competency of contractors and service providers. It assures clients that accredited companies will conduct on-site works with proper regard to health and safety regulations.

Many companies now use SAFEcontractor as their primary means of selecting external contractors and service providers. Accreditation doesn’t come easy. The National Britannia Group subjects applicants to stringent checks and carries out comprehensive audits to ensure they meet health and safety standards. Redirack passed the tests with flying colours!

Phil Culling, Managing Director of Redirack, is delighted to accept SAFEcontractor accreditation on the company’s behalf; “Health and safety is a top priority at Redirack and we welcome developments that raise industry standards. SAFEcontractor proves we work to high levels of safety and pay proper attention to regulations while installing racking systems.”

Redirack has over thirty years experience in the pallet racking industry and recently produced a booklet called Safety in Numbers, which covers the safe operation and maintenance of racking systems. It relates to the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Associates (SEMA) code of practice throughout and deals with issues such as unit loads, material specification and structural configuration.
