Safety Booklets Updated And DownloadableSafety conscious Redirack has produced two booklets covering racking design and racking safety, which are available for download from the company’s website. Covering a wide range of topics, they aim to promote safe working practices and help customers make the most from their racking. The first booklet, Principles of Pallet Storage Design, is a basic guide to designing a working storage installation or improving an existing one. It details subjects such as racking height, width and length, layout and storage capacities. The booklet will help customers utilise a building’s available space and plan a racking system that suits their requirements. Safety in Numbers is the second booklet and covers the safe operation and maintenance of racking systems. It relates to the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Associate (SEMA) code of practice throughout, and deals with issues such as material specification, unit loads and structural configuration.
