UKWA Awards 2004 - Cirrus Logistics Win Technology and Innovation Award, Sponsored by Redirack

For the fourth year running, Redirack sponsored the Technology and Innovation Award at the UKWA Awards, for companies in the warehousing industry. The only category open to non-members of UKWA, the award went to Cirrus Logistics for an extension to its class logistics software, known as the Pick Face Design Module.

Written specifically to recognise pick faces without fixed beam locations, and to provide re-profiling options that work round the constantly changing product characteristics typical of so many warehouses, the product has made a lasting impression on big names such as MFI and Sainsburys.

The team of judges described the Pick Face Design Module as an "excellent change management tool", and "significantly easier to use than any other type of design system."

Runners up for Redirack’s award were Elite Forwarders Ltd, Narrow Aisle Ltd and Proteus Ltd.
