Within the warehouse is a narrow aisle racking system providing 6, 500 pallet positions. The scheme rise to 7 metres with four beam levels. The narrow aisle trucks are guided by a low profile guide rail, and the bottom pallets sit on a concrete plinth behind the rail. Throughout the system sacrificial legs were specified. This unique Redirack accessory enables the front leg of an upright to be repaired in-situ in case of damage. As part of the installation part of the warehouse floor was renovated.
Cadbury's are very pleased with their new facility. John Holder of Cadbury says "The Redirack staff were very professional and helpful, even accommodating minor last minute changes on site during installation." The Institute of Transport Management have recognised Redirack's contribution to the Cadbury's export warehouse, awarding them the "Supplier of Excellence" award, the institute "believed that the contribution of Redirack..was a crucial element in the smooth operation of the (Cadbury's) hub."
